You can also view your next workout of the week and seamlessly launch it when needed.

Whether you're training with friends or just commuting, Edge 530 takes your safety seriously. It features group messaging and tracking, so you can stay connected even when you get separated from your team. 2 It also features incident detection that automatically sends your location to emergency contacts in the event of an incident. For added awareness, pair Edge 530 with our Vario rearview radar and lights so you can see and be seen. And the new PIN-protected bike alarm will alert you on your smartphone and Edge if your bike is moved while you're making a stop.

Edge 530 comes preloaded with the Garmin Cycle Map, including turn-by-turn directions with detailed street names and navigation alerts that warn you of upcoming curves. To help you ride with confidence, popularity routing chooses the roads and trails preferred by other cyclists. Edge 530 can also guide you back to your route or starting point if you deviate from it or decide to head home early. With route calculation speeds that are twice as fast as previous models, you'll spend more time riding, not waiting.

If you need a change of scenery, Edge 530 is the perfect mountain bike guide. Start by downloading the free Trailforks app from our Connect IQ Store and then unlocking the Trailforks map content on your Edge through a guided process. Featuring trails from over 80 countries, Trailforks includes the best and most up-to-date information, including trail conditions, popularity maps, and more. If you stop mid-ride, the new Forksight mode automatically displays upcoming forks and provides context for where you are within a trail network. During your ride, Edge 530 tracks important details with new MTB metrics, such as jump count, length, and hang time. Other MTB features include Grit, which rates a trail's difficulty using elevation, accelerometer, and magnetometer sensors, and Flow, which evaluates ride consistency so you can get a benchmark score for your next ride.
Climb like a pro
Climbing can become your secret weapon with Edge 530 and the new ClimbPro feature. During a climb, it automatically displays the grade and remaining ascent when following a route. It shows you how much more you have to suffer, helping you gauge your effort for the rest of the ride.
SHIMANO STEPS eBike System
Pair an Edge cycling computer with a supported SHIMANO STEPS eBike system and view a dedicated eBike status screen, data fields, system health information, and warning messages. In addition to Edge metrics like time, distance, and speed, you can also view assist level, gear position, battery life, and remaining distance during a ride.
