eTAP
Wireless shifting, battery management, and mechatronics: our RED eTAP technology has one goal: to offer you the most intuitive operation possible. The underlying shifting logic is called eTAP. The right lever shifts up, the left lever shifts down. You can control the gears using either lever. Simple, fluid, and intuitive.

Orbit™
Orbit™ technology is an innovative new form of rear derailleur motion control. It uses silicone fluid as part of an elegant and ultra-lightweight damper system. Compared to a conventional clutch system, Orbit technology creates no additional drag on the rear derailleur spring during slow or light movements. This means easier shifting and removing the rear wheel. While riding, the fluid damper intelligently and elegantly holds the chain. Offering maximum reliability and chain tension, for 2- and 1-speed systems.
