However, the market lacked thru-axles that met the standards we demand from such a system. That's why FOCUS engineers developed Rapid Axle Technology (RAT), the world's fastest thru-axle.

To function optimally, disc brakes require the rigidity and stability of a thru-axle. But since there wasn't a thru-axle system that met our requirements for quick wheel changes, we developed one ourselves. We're talking about the patented Rapid Axle Technology (RAT) for mountain bikes, road bikes, and cyclocross bikes. When developing the RAT thru-axle, we focused on ensuring quick and easy wheel changes.
